With over 18 years of professional experience in architecture both academic and private practice, I drew inspirations for architecture living around the historical architecture marvels in Kathmandu valley. My motivation to study architecture was also fueled by
my childhood passion to drawing and painting.

Having 20 years experience in Architectural Design  & Urban Planning as well as serving as Visiting Lecturer and Deign and Thesis Juror in several Architectural Colleges. Work undertaken includes Housing Development,  Medical Colleges and Hospitals including Campus Planning, Hotels, Apartment Building, Schools, Commercial Complexes and Residential Buildings etc. in Nepal, India, China as well as in the United States. He has been involved in a large number of planning and design projects which includes large scale housing developments and facilities planning, hotels, commercial and residential buildings and has guided projects from feasibility, generation and selection of probable alternatives to detailed design and implementation.

Ar. Bharat Prasad Sharma is one of the senior professional architects from Kathmandu. He is the immediate past president of Society of Nepalese Architects. He was Former Deputy Director General, Department of Urban Development & Building Construction in Nepal Government. He has experience of about 35 years in the Areas of Architecture, Physical Urban Planning and Environment Planning. He has also been member of various architectural and non-architectural organization. He is presently working as professor in architectural department at Nepal Architectural College. He has been involved in Environment Planning and Landscape design work at various big projects in Nepal.

Ar. Biresh Shah is well known name from Nepal Architect Community. His firm ArchiPlan has completed various kinds of projects in Nepal. He has completed his masters from USA in 1988 and also worked with well-known architect Charles Correa. He has also been associated with various agencies India and Nepal which belongs to Urban Conservation, Design/Planning and research field. He is also a visiting faculty in various architectural college in India and Nepal.

Ar. Kishore Thapa

Ar. Kishore Thpa, Nepal

Mr. Kishore Thapa, born in 1958 in Kathmandu, is the Chairman of SAARC Association of Architects (SAARCH) and the President of the Society of Nepalese Architects(SONA). He is the former secretary of the Government of Nepal with 32 years of experience in architecture, building engineering and urban planning. He joined the civil service in 1983 and served the nation for 32 years in various positions before retiring in 2014. He has served as the Secretary in the Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Election Commission and Water and Energy Commission. He has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Calcutta University in 1982 and master’s degree in urban planning with specialization in housing from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi in 1994. He has studied urban redevelopment and affordable housing in the United States as a Humphrey Fellow.
