JK AYA Coffee table books serve as a repository of knowledge, inspiration, and recognition, meticulously documenting the achievements of architects whose work has shaped the landscape of design and innovation. Through these publications, the awards not only honor past laureates but also create a lasting record that continues to inspire future generations.
Each coffee table book is an elegantly crafted compilation that highlights the best projects recognized under the JK AYA, categorized by themes, award years, and architectural typologies. These books celebrate the diversity of architectural practices, from innovative private residences to monumental public buildings and groundbreaking green architecture designs. They provide readers with a window into the evolving trends, challenges, and solutions within the profession, reflecting the dynamism and adaptability of architecture over the years.
“JK AYA Work & Play,” released during the 27th JK AYA by Hon’ble Ar. B.V. Doshi, Padma bhushan and Pritzker Laureate, highlighted commercial and public building projects, emphasizing the role of architecture in shaping civic life and community engagement.
“JK AYA Know and Heal,” released during the 28th JK AYA by Hon’ble Gen V.P. Malik, Former Chief of Indian Army, highlighted winning entries in the category of Social and public building projects.
The inaugural volume, “JK AYA Abodes” released during the 25th JK AYA in 2016 by Shri Nitin Gadkari, then Minister of Road Transport and Shipping, focused on private residences that had won the award over the years, showcasing designs that combined functionality with artistry while addressing cultural and environmental contexts.
“JK AYA Housing,” released during the 32nd JK AYA edition of the awards by Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, focused on group housing projects, addressing the challenges of urban density, affordability, and sustainability.
