Description of Project:

Archohm Design Studio is located at Noida. It comprises of a mad and fun environment and has a building which resembles a design fort, with an entrance of a 10m high revolving wood and corten steel door. The building is divided into five (5) parts – brick rotunda, stone wall, glass block, concrete triangle & metal roof. Each part has its own functional and aesthetic value.

Materials of Construction Details:

Brick work, stone work, glass, concrete, metal, corten steel, Agra red stone, Corian, felt, laminate, lacquered glass, tag board, fabric, tile, tensile.

Special Features:

Spatial layout encourages transparency and an interactive work environment.

Building responds to climate and context with stone wall to block south sun, glazed surface to let in northern light, solar panels to gap in sun, rooftop garden & China mosaic (white) to prevent absorption of heat.

Has reused material from shipwrecks.

Experiments with many colours, textures and has played with cutouts, volumes and materials.
