Ar. Gita Balakrishnan has specialisation in Alternative and eco-friendly methods of construction. She has completed B.Arch from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi. Ar. Gita has worked Under Dr. Volker Hartkopf at the Center for Building Performance and Diagnostics, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, U.S.A. She is an architect with a difference. Indo-Dutch venture as a habitat specialist. Have designed and constructed many buildings using alternative methods of construction in Bangalore including an Ashram for Atmadarshan Yogashram, a branch of The Bihar School of Yoga. She Started “Ethos” in 2001 on moving to Kolkata, her birth place, with the objective of building awareness on our built environment with special focus on young and upcoming professionals. All the events conducted under Ethos have seen participation from far-flung locations in different parts of India
