Shabani Walad Mwatawala is principal of the RSM INITIATIVE which delivers architectural services as well as urban infrastructure management consultancy. For the past 18 years he has served as a director at PSM Architects Co. Ltd, an architectural practice based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. At PSM, Shabani was involved in several projects form inception to construction and to handover. The notably public works that he was involved include Phase 3 of Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) and a Morogoro Municipality market complex.

Shabani has served various professional associations including Architects Association of Tanzania, Africa Union of Architects, East Africa Institute of Architects, Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (Tanzania) and National Construction Council of Tanzania (NCC). Shabani graduated with Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey in 1991. He also holds a Master of Philosophy degree of University of Cape Town (specialising in Urban Infrastructure Design & Management). He researched on passengers’ satisfaction in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) with particular attention to Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit (DART). DART is one of early BRT projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Shabani is a frequent traveller as he believes in learning new experiences through traveling. He lives at an Oceanside suburb of Geza Ulole in the city of Dar es Salaam, interested in soccer and
music.

Ar. Kaisi Kalambo is a certified international project manager who underwent his training in Kenya and Germany in architecture, landscape planning, and remote sensing. He completed his post-graduate studies in Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.

He has worked in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya and Germany, and has more than thirty years of professional experience till date. He was the President of the Africa Union of Architects from 2015-2018, and is also a corporate member of the Architects Associations in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. He has been awarded by the:

Ar. David Kibebe: Ar. David Kibebe, is from Tanzania. He has completed his graduation in Architecture in the year of 2005. He is currently working with Epitome Architect Ltd as Director. Apart from this, he is currently associated as President of East Africa Institute of Architects (EAIA) & Architectural Association of Tanzania (AAT). His areas of expertise are in Architectural Design, Construction Monitoring/ Works supervision, Material specifications, Project Management & Contract Administration. He used to Play chess in leisure times.
