Born in 1944, Ar. Krishna Rao Jaisim completed his education in architecture in 1966 from Madras University. In 1970 he was inspired by the writings of legendary Ayn Rand & started practice under the title JAISIM-FOUNTAINHEAD. From 1970 to 1975 his practice won National competition for Cochin stadia, President’s Nomination for Small Industries Pavilion and the prestigious ‘TAJ Fisherman’s Cove hotel project. From 1975 to 1980 he left for Muscat and ventured into sphere of import distribution and building materials. He returned to India in 1980. He has designed homes for famous Indian personalities like Mr. Nilankani (infosys), Mr. Gopalkrishnan (Tata sons), Ninu Khanna (Dabur) etc. JAISIM FOUNTAINHEAD PROJECTS PVT. LTD. established in 2000, has executed projects for ITC infotech India Ltd, Coffee complex for Coffee Board at Chickmagalore, MPhasis facility centre at Mangalore and TSUNAMI- relief housing at Chennai. He is a member of various institutes and organisations associated with Architecture, Ecology and Environment. He has won many prestigious awards notable among them are- J.K. AYA Award-1992, Durain Society Interiors Design Award-2004, PAA Lifetime Achievement Award- 2007, Nature’s Friend Award-2007 by Centre for Green Building Materials and Technology . And his journey continues.
