Ar. R. K. Patel completed his B.Arch. (Gold medalist) in 1985 from Visveswaraiya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur. He has worked as a trainee in M/s. Hasmukh C. Patel, firm, Ahmedabad. He Designed a Corporate Office Building for F.S.N.L. (A Govt. of India Undertaking.) in Bhilai. He has Participated in an International Design Competition of a Five Star hotel in Nagpur and secured 6th position, out of 204 participants, It was a 14 storied building with a revolving restaurant, on top. He has Designed a Church at Raipur, with a hyperbolic Parabolic Shell roof, giving a free shape and dynamic built form.  He has been awarded token of appreciation for designing of the prestigious “Manikchand Plaza” Chairman Manikchand Group, at Hotel Le-meridian, Pune. He has also won National Design Competition, for the design of 150m tall, a religious tower Jait Khamb taller than Qutubminar, Corporate Multistoried Head Office Building at Dagania, Raipur “A High Tech Intelligent Building”, Housing Colony for MLA’s at Raipur and Korba Institute of Technology, a State Engineering College.  He received appreciation Award, from Honorable Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh for designing 1500 seater Auditorium complex, with two convention hall, Board Rooms and a huge dome, accommodating the dining hall.

Honored by Managing Director Bhilai Steel Plant, Shri Vikrant Gujaral for designing extension of Delhi Public School with a dynamic R.C.C. 19m bridge with gentle curvature floor and delicate lattices.

Designed and executed Administrative building for a Engineering College at Bhilai.

Visited Raipur Govt. College of engineering as an external for Architecture design exam.

Participated in workshop on design concept and features and gave presentation on my design of a corporate office building for F.S.N.L. at Bhilai, organized by I.I.A. at C.E.P.T. Ahmadabad.

Gave presentation on my design of Church highlighting the ‘design evolution’ to architecture students and evaluated the design work of students of L.A.D. College for women of arts, Seminary Hills, Nagpur, on 28th Nov. 98.

Won appreciation award of ‘Best Architect of Chhattisgarh region’ for innovative design of Administrative building of Engineering College of Bhilai.

Participated in National Competition for Designing the prestigious “Manikchand Plaza” at Pune, with shopping arcade, IT block, Multiplexes, Auditorium, Amusement park, Supermarket, Community theatre, Corporate office complex, of 86 crores value. Received a token of appreciation from Shri R.M. Dhariwal, Chairman Manikchand Group for our meritorious efforts and quest for excellence.

Award token of appreciation for designing attractive building of Kannada Sangha, by Minister of State Shri Baddrudin Qureshi on 4th February 2001 at Bhilai.

Won a National Design Competition for the design of 150m tall Jait Khamb at Giroudhpuri of 10 Crores project value.

Won Second Winner award, presented by the Honorable Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Dr. Raman Singh in the Design Idea Competition for the Deendayal Awas Yojana for Construction of 10000 houses of Rs. 200 crore for Lower Income Group by Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Raipur on October 17th 2004 at Durg.

Won a limited Design Competition for the Design of a Corporate Multistoried Head Office Building at Dagania, Raipur “A High Tech Intelligent Building”

Won a Design Competition of Housing Colony Consisting of Bungalows for MLAs at Purena, Raipur by Chhattisghrh Housing Board.

Won a National Design Competition for design of Korba Institute of Technology, a State Engineering College by Department of Technical Educattion under Ministry of Higher Education

Won Limited National Design Copetition for design of information Bhawan and Yogna Bhawan at Raipur organised by Naya Raipur Development

Designed Six storeyed New Circuit House Building with Suite for Hon. President of India and VIPs., with interesting built form to prevent the western heat that west facing Site.
